New details for "Street Fighter 5" have been revealed regarding the second phase of the game's beta test and Urien, Alex and Eagle getting the last spot in the roster.
Capcom teased that the final classic character will be added into "Street Fighter 5's" roster and he/she might t not be from the "Street Fighter 2". Brand director Matt Dahlgren stated in an interview during the New York Comic Con event that he will not reveal further details about the character, but did confirm that the latest fighter could be from another game.
"Street Fighter 5" so far has 14 playable characters as Dahlgren stated that the game's roster will contain 16 fighters when the sequel launch. One spot for a new character, while the other for a returning character. It is heavily rumored that "Street Fighter 3" characters Urien or Alex are being considered for the final spot, while speculations that Eagle from the original Street Fighter game will likely make as surprise appearance in game similar to how he was added in "Capcom Vs SNK" and the portable version of "Street Fighter Alpha 3", IGN reported.
Other rumored characters being considered in "Street Fighter 5" includes Guile, Dudley, C. Viper, Poison, Hugo Abel and Akuma, while two new characters Kuan and Sherry will make their debut in the series.
In other news, Capcom revealed new details and schedules for the second phase of the "Street Fighter 5" beta test this week, VG 24/7 reported. According to Capcom, the second beta test program will start from Oct. 21-15 as the beta test will have additional playable characters such as Ken Masters, Necalli, Vega, R. Mika and Karin Kanzuki and a cross-platform gameplay in the PC and PlayStation 4 versions.
The Oct. 21 test will start at 18:00 PST (10/22 02:00 BST/10:00 JST) for the PS4 users, while Oct. 22 will have a 12 hour maintenance check at 14:00 PST (22:00 BST/ 10/23 06:00 JST). Oct 23. will have the servers back online at 02:00 PST (10:00 BST/18:00 JST) with an added feature of PS4 and PC cross-platform action on 09:00 PST (17:00 BST/ 10/24 01:00 JST). Oct. 24 will have another maintenance check at 04:00 PST (12:00 BST/20:00 JST) and they will be back online at 14:00 PST (22:00 BST/ 10/25 06:00 JST). The Beta test ends on Oct. 25 at exactly 16:00 PST (10/26 0:00 BST/ 08:00 JST).
"Street Fighter 5" will release in March 2016 for the PS4 and PC.
