One Direction Gig in Newcastle a Resounding Success; Band Gears for New Album Promo

One Directioners Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson deliver an electrifying performance.

One Direction thrilled legions of fans at its recent three-day gig at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle.

The revered English-Irish pop act delivered an impassioned performance as a laser light show added glitz to the occasion, The Northern Echo reported.

Fans of the famous band flocked the North East England's bustling capital aware that the Metro Radio Arena gig is one of the remaining performances from their favorite band before its planned hiatus in 2016.

The gig was met with the usual hysteria and adulation of fans. Tomlinson could not contain his emotions and tweeted after the first performance night that it was a great show.

One Direction takes its final bow end of October, after an exhaustive world tour, at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield.

Since August, One Direction fanatics have known that Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan are bracing to embark on solo projects sometime in March 2016.

The well-loved members of the boy band who have been together for half a decade consider it an "incredible run" and are ready to explore new frontiers.

The four remaining members of the band are open to whatever possibilities the future may have in store for them, including reuniting as a band.

After the Metro Radio Arena gig, Tomlinson with a small entourage decided to pop into Newcastle's a-pound-a-drink bar which is a certified hit with the locals, Mirror reported.

Tomlinson thought it cool to spend some downtime before he and his bandmates set out to focus on promoting their next album.

1D's fifth album, "Made In The A.M.," is slated on Nov. 13 release. The album includes chart-topping hits, including "Drag Me Down. The possibility of 1D buckling down anew for a world tour is remote.
