"One Direction" boy band member Liam Payne and long-time girlfriend Sophia Smith have split up, but the four-member group still pushed through in a concert only hours after Payne's heartbreak.
After being in a serious relationship with Smith the past two years, Payne is once again in the market as an eligible bachelor.
Despite Payne's separation, he and the rest of the members of "One Direction" continued their concert on Oct. 25, Sunday night, at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle after previously cancelling their show in Belfast. The cancellation in Belfast was announced only 30 minutes before the performance, leaving fans devastated.
"One Direction" reportedly called the concert off due to Payne's unknown sickness that prevented the singer from pushing through with the show.
The 22-year-old member though was seemingly back to his normal self, as he sang for endearing fans in Newcastle. The Sexiest Man Of The Year of Attitude Magazine serenaded the crowd with hits from the album "Four" alongside his fellow "One Direction" band mates Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson as reported by Daily Mail UK.
While Payne still remained professional and pushed through with the band's tour, he did not make any announcements or statements regarding his break up with Smith. The singer only tweeted on Oct. 24, Saturday that, 'I love how music is always there for you when you need it most x."
Not only is Payne suffering from a heartache, but the boy band member also went through a breakdown as reported by The Sun. Payne's hidden sickness was reportedly his meltdown due to the inability to cope with fame and the pressures on the 22-year-old.
In addition, Payne and the rest of his bandmates; Styles, Tomlinson and Horan are set to take a hiatus in March upon the completion of their "One The Road Again" Tour and the release of their upcoming fifth studio album titled "Made In The A.M."
