Daredevil is a Netflix original series created by writer/director Drew Goddard starring Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Wall and Elden Henson.

"Daredevil" Season 2 will feature Elektra and the Hand as the main villains, as well as possible crossover episodes with "Jessica Jones" and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." TV series.

New details for season 2 revealed that the show will explore the relationship between Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Elektra Natchios (Elodie Young), as they are hinted to be college lovers prior to season 1 of the show in the form of flashback scenes, International Business Times reported.

Elektra is one of the two characters being introduced in "Daredevil" season 2 along with the ruthless vigilante, Frank Castle/ The Punisher (Jon Bernthral). With Elektra's involvement in Matt's life in season 2 it seems that ninja organization, The Hand is not far behind as several rumors speculated that they are going Hell's Kitchen. Their rival organization, the Chaste will aslo appear in the show due the announcement that Stick (Scott Glenn) will be returning in season 2.

References from both the Chaste and the Hand appeared in season 1 when Nobu (Peter Shinkoda) fought Matt Murdock wearing a red ninja outfit and that Stick is seen talking with Stone, a member of the Chaste in the episode 7.

In other news, it seems that the "Daredevil" Netflix series will likely have crossover episodes form two Marvel Studios shows.

Collider talk show host Jon Schnepp stated in an interview that Matt Murdock will be appearing in the "Jessica Jones" netflix series, but with a twist as he hinted that audiences will only see Matt as lawyer in the show during the day as he only becomes his alter-ego during the night, Cinemablend reported.

Marvel President Kevin Feige and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." star Clark Gregg teased the possibility that director Phil Coulson and his team will make their presents in "Daredevil" TV series and vice versa.

But in order to do so, Feige stated that they must first develop the characters as their own individual before making a crossover show with them as he does not want his characters to show up without any sort of purpose whatsoever.

Gregg agreed with Feige's decision and stated that doing easter eggs for both shows could get "old" pretty quick.

."Daredevil" season 2 will premiere sometime in 2016 on Netflix.
