Bradley Cooper is Rocket in James Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2.”

Bradley Cooper may have made a huge reveal about James Gunn's upcoming Marvel Comics film "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2."

Cooper is set to reprise his role as the badass raccoon Rocket in Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2." In his interview with Cinema Blend to promote John Wells' forthcoming comedy drama film "Burnt," Cooper said that Josh was the villain or he was the main villain. The actor said that Brolin was in the first one and he played what's his names' dad."

According to Cinema Blend, Cooper might be confused about things. Although the Mad Titan Thanos was the major villain in Marvel's Cinematic Universe, he was not the direct villain of the Guardians in James Gunn's "guardians of the Galaxy."

In his interview with MTV, Cooper also clarified Thanos as "what's his name's dad." From how the actor described the character, it is assumed that he was referring to Ronan the Accuser, who is the villain in the first film. It fact, it is also rumored that his son Thane would appear in the sequel.

"Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2" explores the characters for fans to relate with them by seeing themselves in the character, so the film sequel would not be seeing too many characters, as Gunn wanted the characters in the first film to be more personal.

"Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2" stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper (voice), Vin Diesel (voice), Sean Gunn, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, and possibly Howard the Duck, among others.

"Sicario" star Benicio del Toro is also set to reprise his role as The Collector while the director teased that there would be one Sneeper in the film. Klementieff was rumored to play Mantis in the forthcoming Marvel Comics film; however, neither Marvel Studios nor the director has confirmed if Klementieff would play the role.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2" starts principal production in 2016 and is slated to premiere in theaters in United States on May 5, 2017.
