UEFA Champions League 2015-2016: Barcelona vs Roma, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

A marquee encounter between La Liga champions FC Barcelona (3-0-1, 10 points) and Serie A runners-up AS Roma (1-1-2, 5 points) is scheduled at the Camp Nou on November 24 as part of the 2015-2016 UEFA Champions League Group E matches.

The two team's first meeting ended up in a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome with Barça striker Luis Suárez and I Giallorossi midfielder Alessandro Florenzi trading goals in the first half of the match, at the 21st and 31st-minute marks respectively.

From there, both squad's defenses went to work and had held each other scoreless up until full time to settle their group stage opening encounter.

Barcelona is coming off a 3-0 rout of Russian club FC BATE Borisov, 3-0, at the Camp Nou last November 4, as per Bleacher Report.

Football superstar Lionel Messi is still out for Luis Enrique's side with an injured, but it was not felt by Blaugrana as the duo of Neymar and Suárez took care of business with a double and a goal respectively.

The Seleção captain scored at the 30th and 83rd minutes, sandwiching Suárez's strike at the 60th for the three-goal haul.

Meanwhile, Roma escaped with a 3-2 victory over German squad Bayer Leverkusen at the Stadio Olimpico also last November 4, via Goal.

La Maggica zoomed to an early 2-0 lead courtesy of goals from Mohamed Salah and Edin Džeko in the first half hour of play, but Bayer fought back with two goals of their own in the first six minutes of the second half.

Miralem Pjanić's penalty kick at the 80th decided the game in favor of the Wolves to give them their first win of the tournament.

Playing at the Camp Nou, Barça is projected to blank Roma even with no Messi in hand.

The prediction is a 2-0 win for Barcelona.
