Martin Henderson is the newest doctor to join Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital on "Grey's Anatomy" season 12.

Cara Delevingne's "Tulip Fever" co-star Kevin McKidd, 42, recently shared what fans can expect from Dr. Owen Hunt, his "Grey's Anatomy" character he has been playing since 2008.

McKidd is said to be getting a meaty story line again on the ABC series created by Shonda Rhimes, Entertainment Weekly has learned. The Scottish actor told the publication that it is interesting because Dr. Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson) is connected to Dr. Owen Hunt's past.

Trying not to give "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 spoilers, McKidd said that one character is "involved in that" so many interesting things come up when another female character "bumps into a certain person from her past, too."

Henderson made his debut in the ABC series created by Rhimes in "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 episode 6 titled "The Me Nobody Knows," which aired on Nov. 5. He is set to star in two 2016 films, which are "Miracles from Heaven" opposite Jennifer Garner and John Carroll Lynch and "Hellbent" opposite Isabelle Fuhrman and Max Martini.

Aside from playing Dr. Owen Hunt in "Grey's Anatomy" season 12, McKidd is also set to star in "Tulip Fever" opposite Delevingne, Christoph Waltz and Alicia Vikander. The romantic drama film directed by Justin Chadwick will be released in 2016.

In other news, Rhimes recently admitted on "The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore" that he has killed off a character because she did not like the actor. She refused to name the actor but many fans believe it was Patrick Dempsey who played Dr. Derek Shepherd in "Grey's Anatomy" from its pilot episode to the 24th episode of its 11th season.

Dempsey is yet to make his comeback to the small screen but he is set to star in the 2016 romantic comedy "Bridget Jones's Baby" opposite Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth. On Nov. 13, Friday, Dempsey was spotted at LAX airport wearing a light-colored button down shirt, a dark blue jacket, jeans, black sneakers and designer aviator-style shades, Daily Mail reported.
