The CBS network had to cancel Justin Bieber's live performance at the Thanksgiving Parade in New York City

The CBS network had to cancel Justin Bieber's live performance at the Thanksgiving Parade in New York City while the Canadian pop star apologized to Stephen for also failing to attend "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."

Despite not being able to attend the event and Colbert's show, the "What Do You Mean" singer actually offered to give a performance over at Los Angeles.

Multiple sources interviewed by Hollywood Life denied that Bieber was facing an emotional or a health-related problem and noted that the incident was simply caused by a conflicting schedule.

In addition, since the 21-year-old pop superstar could not make it to "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," CBS decided that Bieber should not perform for the Thanksgiving event, even while at Los Angeles.

Likewise, the Canadian singer told "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" in a Twitter post that Bieber was incredibly sorry for not making it to the CBS show. Moreover, the songwriter hopes to eventually pay the debt to the show.

Bieber then proceeded to thank comedian and talk show host Colbert for understanding that there are things in life that everyone has to deal with sometimes.

Meanwhile, 23-year-old actress Gomez was caught at a hotel bar with Bieber, according to TMZ.

On Nov. 20, Friday, the two celebrities were witnessed together by several people at the Montage hotel bar in Beverly Hills.

Surprisingly, Bieber proceeded to sit down on a piano stool and serenaded the "Same Old Love" singer" with a sweet, heartwarming rendition of The Temptations' classic song titled "My Girl" alongside live piano music.

After the intimate performance, both Bieber and Selena left the Montage hotel bar to walk outside along the quiet streets of Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

Bieber was previously in a romantic relationship with Gomez back in December 2010, but the two were eventually noted as being both single by January 2013.
