Star Wars Battlefront is an upcoming action video game based on the Star Wars franchise developed by DICE and distributed by EA Games.

"Star Wars Battlefront" 2015 will likely feature new DLC, free updates, a 40-player mode and possible new maps for the game.

Game developer DICE stated that "Star Wars Battlefront" 2015 will be receiving new DLC and free updates soon. The move was made due to the game's universal criticism for having content problems, which will result to players "burning out" of the game quickly.

The first major DLC for "Star Wars Battlefront" is The Battle of Jakku which takes place within the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" film and Electronic Arts and DICE are planning to upgrade the DLC with a new 40-player game mode called "Turning point", Gamerant reported.

Turning Point mode will have players take on the role of Rebel Alliances soldiers that are sent find three Imperial bases in the Jakku map. Each player who have captured an Imperial base will be added to the countdown clock, and it will be more "challenging" for players once they have set their sites on another base, increasing the difficulty of the situation.

Lead level designer Dennis Brannvall stated that players from the Rebel Alliances must choose carefully on which base they should attack first, while the Imperial Forces must decide whether to defend the base they are currently guarding or aid their allies from the other bases.

Several Star Wars vehicles are alos present within the game and DICE added that battles are ever present withing Turning Point and will see more falling debris, lots of air combat and even the Super Star Destroyer could show up and crash down in the field.

Aside from the for the new game mode, Electronic Arts will be hosting an event for "Star Wars Battlefront" on Nov. 30 in the United Kingdom. The game publisher will be presenting the Battle of Jakku live from London Bash and will likely feature the Turning Point game mode, as well as free new maps and Star Cards for the game.

Fans speculated that some of these new maps will based on from several famous places in the original "Star Wars" trilogy such as Bespin/Cloud City, Yavin IV, The Death Star, Kashyyyk, Dagobah and Starkiller base, International Business Times reported.

"Star Wars Battlefront" is currently available in store for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and for the PC.
