"The Walking Dead" Season 6 is few hours away from airing its midseason finale. Episode 8 "Start to Finish" is expected to feature some shockers as Rick and his group battles the new threat and end with some cliffhangers laying the foundation for the second wave of the current season. It is too early for spoilers and speculations for "The Walking Dead" Season 6 Episode 9. However, the network has already confirmed its airdate. Fans will have to wait for at least three months before the show returns to the TV again. According to Wetpaint, the series will air its winter premiere in the New Year 2016 on Sunday, Feb. 14.

It is said that the announcement was first made at "The Walking Dead" Season 6 fan premiere held at Madison Square in New York City. Meanwhile, Chris Hardwick, the host of the series' follow-up talk show, confirmed the return of "Talking Dead."

Meanwhile, speaking to The Wrap, "The Walking Dead" actor Andrew Lincoln, who plays the role of Rick Grimes, teased epic midseason finale, premiere and the remaining episodes of season 6. "I will say episodes 8 through 16 - I'm more excited than I've ever been before, just where the story is headed," Andrew Lincoln said. "Eight and nine are unbelievable. Unbelievable. They're some of the best episodes I've read and when I was filming, it just got bigger and more epic and more insane every day that we shot," he added.

In addition, Norman Reedus, "The Walking Dead" actor who plays the role of Daryl Dixon told Variety that the rest of the eight episodes of Season 6 are intense. "I want to say that our back half is the best 8 we've ever done. It's super intense," Norman Reedus said.
