After airing a mind-blowing Episode 7, "The Walking Dead" Season 6 is set to air its midseason finale. Episode 8 is titled "Start to Finish" and sees the groups residing in Alexandria deal with their biggest challenge yet. Check out the spoilers for the next instalment of AMC's post-apocalypse series. Fans can expect to see a dramatic and heavy on action midseason finale. It is expected to resolve some cliffhangers and do the groundwork for the second wave of sixth season.
According to the synopsis for "The Walking Dead" Season 6 Episode 8 (via Spoiler TV), Alexandria and its residents find themselves deep in trouble. It is said peace doesn't last longer in Alexandria. The sheltered residents find themselves come face to face with new threat, which is "too big to defeat."
As noted by Wetpaint, a giant horde of Walkers find its way to Alexandria in midseason finale. The big herd of zombies open attack on the people of Alexandria and cause some serious damage.
During the attack, Rick Grimes, Father Gabriel, Carl, Michonne, Jessie and her children Sam and Ron are stranded in one of the house when the Walkers walk into the streets of Alexandria. It is said they attempt to escape and disguise as Walkers. They walk through the herd by holding hands.
However, Sam fails to fool the Walkers and gets killed by one of them. Meanwhile, Jessie's attempt to save Sam forces Rick to chop her hand, leading to her death. This infuriates Ron, who tries to take revenge from Rick. He takes his gun out and attempts to shoot Rick, but Carl's attempt to save his father gets him shot in the eye and lose his eye. Michonne is forced to pick her gun and kill Ron.
Fans can also expect Rick in action when he opens attack on Walkers and the rest of the Alexandrians help him.
In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Norman Reedus, who plays the role of Daryl Dixon teased an epic midseason finale with a lot happening in the post-apocalyptic world. "There's a lot of shit coming down," Norman Reedus said.
"I'm completely blown away by the caliber of what we're doing right now. I left set [the other night shooting the season finale] at 7 a.m. and talked to Andy on the phone for the entire drive. We're overly excited; it's so good. When we first started this and people said, "It's a zombie show," it's not a zombie show right now. We have zombies but it's totally not a zombie show and everyone will know it. I'm really excited about this episode; it really starts the barometer of skyrocketing straight up into space. It's a full-throttle show from here on out and this kicks it off. It's full speed ahead from here," he continued.
