Attack on Titan (Japanese: 進撃の巨人 Hepburn: Shingeki no Kyojin?, lit. "Advancing Giants") is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama.

"Attack on Titan" producer Koei Tecmo announced on Nov. 26 that the action packed title will be released  in Japan for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in February 2016. "Attack on Titan" and its Japan-based video game company announced plans for PlayStation consoles three months ago.

"Attack on Titan" company Koei Tecmo's president Hisashi Koinuma, explained that, "Having evolved from a manga/anime series with an internationally recognized brand, we were enchanted by the opportunity to create our own take on humanity's last stand against these overwhelmingly powerful beings, the Titans," Gamespot reported.

"Our studios are already pouring all of their passion and excitement into it and we hope to reveal more information soon," he continued.

He also explained that Omega Force, which is the team responsible for the company's smashing hit "Dynasty Warriors" game franchise was assigned to manage the development of the latest game. However, "Attack on Titan" will not be featuring several signature elements that had been associated with the popular Chinese history-themed titles.

Although there already is an existing game of the same title, which was developed for the Nintendo 3DS by Chunsoft, Koei Tecmo's version is the first actual full adaptation for the said gaming consoles, Japan Today reported.

"Attack on Titans" game's early footage for the PlayStation showed a unique method of cel-shading. It is established by the techniques designed for Gundam games, the Omega Force's "Dynasty Warriors."

"Attack on Titans"  recent trailer shows Eren Yeager with his friends fighting with the titans that are attacking the city. To throw themselves toward the enormous creatures, they use the Maneuver Gear.
