Kit Harrington (right) is popular as Jon Snow of "Game Of Thrones."

Kit Harrington, who is best known as the role of Jon Snow in the hit TV series "Game Of Thrones," will soon be seen on the big screen as spy agent Will Holloway in "Spooks: The Greater Good" movie version  "MI-5" that is scheduled for release on Dec. 4.

Moving away from the historical and fantastical roles in which he is seen usually, Harrington will be portraying the role of an agent who is tasked to track down his old boss, played by Peter Firth, who has disappeared after a terrorist's escape from custody.

The actor was talking to Entertainment Weekly when he revealed that he categorically told his agent that he wanted to do something different this time as since drama school, he was usually offered "medieval stuff and gladiator roles" and has never played the role of a modern man.

Talking about the rumors that he is likely to play the next James Bond, Harrington laughed off the matter, saying that he does not think that he will be offered the role.

The 28-year-old actor also talked at length about his upcoming movie. He admittedly loved the fact that he got to shoot for the movie in London which is also his home city. He also got to film a few scenes in the city's most iconic locations, like National Theatre, South Bank and even Heathrow Airport among the general public since these locations were not shut down for the shooting.

Meanwhile, Harrington is set to reprise his role as Jon Snow in "Game Of Thrones" season 6. Although "Game Of Thrones" season 5 finale episode showed the beloved bastard being stabbed by his fellow Night's warriors, HBO recently confirmed his comeback with the release of the poster for the upcoming show showing his bloodied face.

"Game of Thrones" is this goliath show, and it has entered pop culture in this amazing way," the actor told IGN recently.
