Samsung To Add Gear Manager For iOS In Gear S2; Gear S3 To Support Android, iOS?

Today speculations are circulating that Samsung Gear S2 will have a better-looking variant.

Samsung is reported to be developing a Gear Manager app for iOS in the Gear S2 smartwatch while the next Samsung Gear might readily support both Android and iOS.

Insider sources have noted that the South Korean tech giant is trying to include an iOS support in the Gear S2 smartwatch.

If Samsung is able to create an iOS Gear Manager app in the Gear S2, then iPhone users would ideally have the ability to sync the Samsung smartwatch with the Apple device, according to Tech Times.

However, there could be several impediments to having a full, integrated experience for iOS users since the Gear S2 smartwatch is apparently best paired with a Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Likewise, the South Korean company could solve the problems of iOS users who have a Gear device if the future Samsung Gear S3 supports both Android and iOS.

While Samsung has not yet provided an official release date for the Gear Manager app, it is likely that the iOS support for the Gear S2 would be delivered in the near future because the company has to compete with Apple's forthcoming next-generation smartwatch.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Gear S2 features a fashionable metal frame design that easily makes the smartwatch distinguishable from the plastic, glossy smartwatches made by other companies, according to The Science Times.

Unlike the rectangular shape of the Apple smartwatch, the Gear S2 has a classic, round design. Despite the aesthetic differences, the Gear S2 also has several wrist gesture features that Apple's device has.

Samsung's Gear S2 sports a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a 360 x 360 resolution. Aside from packing a dual-core processor set at one gigahertz, the smartwatch also contains 4GB of internal storage and a 512MB RAM.

The Samsung Gear S2 was released on Oct. 2 and is available for $299.99.
