'Persona 5' Rumors: DLC Development The Cause Of The Launch Date Delay; Atlus Reveal More Plot, Character Details For The Sequel! [VIDEOS]

Persona 5 is an upcoming JRPG being developed by Atlus of the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 console

New "Persona 5" details will reveal the cause for the sequel's delay in 2016, as well as new plot and character details for the game.

Atlus revealed several new details for "Persona 5" during an interview session for the latest issue of Game Informer for January next year. Game director Katsura Hashino told Game Informer that elements from "Persona 5" will be different from past "Persona" titles as he explains the plot and the roles of the main characters in the sequel.

Hashino stated that the characters including the a unknown protagonist in "Persona 5" have no place in the world due to their different mindsets and beliefs, but a certain event in the game in which obtain the Isekai-Navi, which allows them to enter new worlds and steal the malicious hearts of evil individuals they have formed a bond and sense of belonging as "Phantom Thieves".

These characters throw themselves into danger to help society from the corruption. Unlike past games were in characters are drawn into a strange case, they throw themselves into the fray and their actions may attract an even dangerous foe, which is how the game is set in motion.

Hashino added several details on each character's personalities and traits within the game. The protagonist in game is still a silent but cool character as Hashino explained that they wanted him to be like that because he wants gamers to empathize and identify who he is as a person throughout the game. However, the protagonist has some roguish attitude and "Persona 5" may explore these traits adding a little bit of brash and audacity to the hero.

The protagonist will first meet Ryuji Sakamoto, who is known to have a mischievous attitude and during the course of the game will become his best friend and partner-in-crime. Ann Takamaki in the game is described as a girl who has lived in abroad and develops a distinguish accent that draws everyone's attention, but deep inside is an emotional person who wants to keep distance. Yusuke Kitagawa is a talented and sensitive artist, but his mindset makes him an "oddball" to most people. Morgana in the group is a prideful instructor and has set particular standards within the group, but he is unsure of his goal for the group and he does not also know where he came from.

The personas of each character are manifested by their love from a specific fictional hero and character and adding these traits with their personalities can summon them.

In other new, a reason for "Persona 5's" change of launch date has been revealed as Atlus is working on several DLC for the game and Hashino need more time to make the game as perfect as possible, Realty Today reported.

It is unknown yet what kind of features will "Persona 5" has on its DLC as it has been a hot topic among forum websites. "Persona 5" will feature different gameplays from both real world and dungeon areas. New activities such as playing baseball, going to classes and riding the train are part of the "big city" feel in the sequel, while the dungeon levels will have the gamers fight monsters and explore new areas using stealth.

"Persona 5" will launch in the summer 2016 in Japan and sometime in 2016 in the United States for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles.
