'The Elder Scrolls 6' Release Update: 'Skyrim 2' Not Happening In 2015 As Assumed; 2019 Hints Pete Hines?

The Elder Scrolls is a series of action role-playing open world fantasy video games primarily developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks.

"The Elder Scrolls 6" has been the topic of a lot of rumors for sometime now, with most of them claiming that the game is going to roll out this year. However, the Vice President of Bethesda, Pete Hines, disputed the said rumor and hinted during an interview that the open world fantasy game will be out by 2019.

"The Elder Scrolls 6" previously hinted that it will be available this year and that the studio releases a new "The Elder Scrolls" game every four years. Because the last instalment, "Skyrim" rolled out in 2011, people anticipated that the release of its sequel, "Skyrim 2" will be happening in 2015, Movie Pilot reported.

More recent rumors, on the other hand, claim that the highly anticipated game "The Elder Scrolls 6" will be based off on Oblivion or Morrowind. Again, Hines disputed during an interview with The Telegraph, saying "It's rare to have franchises like the ones we have and to have people joking about 'when is Skyrim 2 coming out?' The reason they say that is because generally speaking that's what you'd be getting with another publisher in charge. They'd be spitting out a Skyrim 2 the year after or two years later. That's just not how we view it. We're not the sort of publisher that focuses on 'what's our 25 titles for 2015'."

"The Elder Scrolls 6" reportedly will also be having a multiplayer mode. But because Bethesda has not yet released a single player version in a long time, this rumor has no solid evidence of becoming a reality. Bethesda has remained tight-lipped when it comes to the actual release date for the "Elder Scrolls 6."

"The Elder Scrolls 6" may be out in the market by 2019, Hines hinted.
