"House of Cards" season 4 is expected to premiere on March 11, 2016. Although this release date has yet to be confirmed, multiple reports suggest that this theory coincides with Netflix's common practice to release shows on a Friday.

According to Fansided, the show is expected to get a lot of attention especially come election season. The outlet hailed the series is one of the most anticipated shows not only on Netflix, but across other networks as well. It was said that Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey, was able to capture the hearts of the audience, eager to find out what is going to happen next to him and Claire (Robin Wright).

The publication noted that since the show premiered back in 2013, there has always been a one year and 13-day gap between seasons. Assuming that they will still stick with this formula, it is safe to say that "House of Cards" season 4 will return on March 11, 2016.

In other news, Enstarz earlier reported that Spacey has been snubbed in the 2016 Golden Globes. The nominees were: "Ray Donovan's" Live Schreiber, "Narcos'" Wagner Moura, "Better Call Saul's" Bob Odenkirk, "Mr Robot's" Rami Malek and "Mad Men's" Jon Hamm.

Wright, on the other hand, has been nominated in the Best Actress in a TV Series for Drama. She will be up against Viola Davis from "How to Get Away With Murder," Eva Green from "Penny Dreadful," Taraji P. Henson from "Empire" and Caitriona Balfe from "Outlander."

At the recent Screen Actors Guild Awards, the Netflix series received three acting nominations: Wright for Best Actress, Spacey for Best Actor and Best Ensemble Cast in a TV Drama series.
