Kevin Spacey, who plays Francis Underwood, in "House of Cards" recently revealed that his character had been talking to Donald Trump when he is talking to the camera. Spacey, however, refused to reveal further spoilers about season 4, explaining that he had too much respect for the audience.
In an interview with Stephen Colbert, via Inquisitr, Spacey revealed that he has always imagined Frank speaking to Trump whenever he talks to the camera one on one.
When asked to share what fans can expect in the coming episodes, Spacey held that she did not want to become the "Spoiler in Chief." The actor also pointed out that some people have yet to watch the first season and did not want to ruin their experience. He said that this has been his policy for three years now.
In an interview with E! News, executive producer Beau Willimon revealed that season 4 will be a lot more emotional compared to the earlier season. Rather than delve deeper into the Underwood's political journey, he said that they wanted to focus more on Frank and Claire's relationship.
Willimon said that they received mixed reactions from fans with this decision. He mentioned that some of them considered the last season their favorite because of the risks they took.
Some, however, were not at all happy with the changes. He said that some viewers cannot accept the fact that the Underwoods are just human beings, who fall down and make mistakes. The showrunner explained that it was necessary to see their flaws, adding that they did not want the viewers to perceive presidency as a mere cakewalk.
"House of Cards" season 4 is slated to premiere in February 2016.
