‘X-Men: Apocalypse' Trailer Hints The Morlocks?

The Morlocks is an underground group in the X-Men universe.

With the release of Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Apocalyse" trailer, it is assumed that the upcoming Marvel Comics film will feature the underground group, the Morlocks.

Released on Dec. 14, the "X-Men: Apocalypse" trailer saw a hooded Apocalyse enter a dark room. In the same room was young Storm with her mohawk hairdo and a man with the bald head, which was presumably Caliban.

Singer confirmed that Caliban is the man in the "X-Men: Apocalypse" trailer. In his interview with Empire, Singer said that Caliban was bald and had funky eyes. The filmmaker added that he was a great and really cool character.

In March, Singer also confirmed Caliban's inclusion in "X-Men: Apocalypse." The filmmaker took to Instagram a photo, which featured Caliban's territory. In the caption, he wrote, "Shooting Caliban's place of "business" #Xmen #XMenApocalypse."

In the comics, Caliban is recruited by Callisto, the leader of the Morlocks. In addition to his fighting, hunting, and scavenging skills, Caliban is best known for his mutant-tracking ability, within a 25 mile radius, which Callisto used to form the Morlocks.

In Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse," Apocalypse presumably used Calibro's ability to search for other mutants and recruit his Four Horsemen.

While the Morlocks' appearance in Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" is highly probable due to Caliban's presence in the trailer, it is assumed that the film may see other mutants who are outcast from the society, according to Cinema Blend.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 27, 2016. Watch the first trailer here:
