J.J. Abrams' space sci-fi film "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" is coming to theaters in few days and in line with this, some fans are getting ready for the film in their own ways.
On Dec. 5, which was 12 days prior the film release, fans from the group called "The Line Awakens" reportedly set up their camp beside the historic Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, according to CNN. The said theater was one of more then 30 venues in the United States where the original fim was released in May 1977.
On Dec. 7, One "Star Wars" fan at Chinese Theater tweeted that he had literally slept on Carleton Hestons cold dead hands.
Some fans even wore "Star Wars" costumes, such as the Stormtroopers' suit. WOW247 wrote on Twitter, "#StarWars fans are already queuing to see #TheForceAwakens #TheLineAwakens."
Another "Star Wars" fan, Robert Ballecer, also tweeted his photo. He was standing along with tents, which indicate that fans in his area stayed outside their local theater ahead of the premiere to get the best seats.
Some line-ups raise money for charity, such as Straight Children's Foundation, according to Cinema Blend.The charity provides chidren's needs to more than 600 hospitals, clinics, camps, respite homes, and hospices in Puerto Rico and in the United States.
"Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" is set 30 years after the events in the "Return of Jedi." It showcases an ensemble of both old and new heroes and villains played by Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Simon Pegg, and among others.
Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Dec. 18.
