iPad Price, Specs & Features Review

iPad Pro and iPad Air have one big difference that is pretty obvious. Despite the screen size, the price differential between the two Apple iPad models pose an exciting question on the winner between them.

According to iDigitalTimes, when prices get considered, iPad Air 2 wins due to its savings benefits. The 16GB model for iPad Air 2 is currently going for $499, $599 for a 64GB model and 128GB model goes for $699. An extra cost of $130 will get incurred when an iPad Air 2 user wants to add a cellular connection.

iPad Pro is, however, pricier. Apple requires only $799 for the 32GB model with Wi-Fi, $949 for the 128GB Wi-Fi model and 128GB model for the Wi-Fi plus Cellular goes for $1,079. Currently, a 32GB iPad Pro model with both Wi-Fi and Cellular connectivity is not sold by Apple.

With a 30% increase in price, one gets the iPad Pro with its screen measuring 12.9-inches diagonally. The iPad Air 2 screen measures 9.7-inches diagonally, Forbes reported.

Both tablets have a pixels density of 264-ppi with iPad Pro capable of outputting a screen resolution quality of 2,732-by-2,048-pixels, and the iPad Air 2 capping out at 2048-by-1536-pixels.

Comparing the iPad Pro with iPad Air 2, iPad Pro truly shines when GPU and Ram get considered. It comes with a new A9X processor chip and 4GB RAM. The chip currently powers the iPhone 6s Plus and iPhones 6s. iPad Air 2 has half the amount of RAM at 2GB and comes with the previous generation of Apple's processor chips, A8X processor chip.

Both devices can be found in Gold, Silver and Space Gray colors with iPad Pro having the option of using new Apple's accessories like the Apple Pencil. With this, it is capable of detecting shading just like a regular pencil on a piece of paper. Also, it comes along with the Smart Keyboard, a physical keyboard users can use to type that doubles as a case. However, there are third-party keyboard cases for the iPad Air 2 although they do not fit well as the iPad Pro and the Smart Keyboard.

Apple quotes that the battery for both devices is capable of lasting for 10 hours while listening to music, watching video, or browsing the web on Wi-Fi. iPad Air 2 technically has a smaller battery, at 7,340-mAh to the iPad Pro's 10,307-mAh, the beefed up internals and extra screen size get their own back in power consumption.

iPad Pro beats iPad Air 2 with its new speaker system. The new feature makes Apple proud as the device can sense how it is being held and keep adjusting the treble and bass output to compensate in each speaker. A typical speaker of the iPad speaker system is found in the iPad Air 2.

Both the Apple iPad tablets have an1.2-megapixel front-facing camera and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera. The cameras can record up to 720p HD video and 1080p HD video respectively.

With all the specifications highlighted and some cash in store to burn, the iPad Pro is definitely the better tablet when compared to the iPad Air 2.
