‘Tekken 7 Fated Retribution’ Roster Includes ‘Street Fighter’ Akuma And More Upcoming Heroes [VIDEO]

"Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" was recently revealed by Bandai Namco. However, "Tekken's" new roster of characters seem to spark a lot more excitement from the fans of the seventh installment of the action-packed game franchise.

The new hero coming to the "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" was revealed to be Akuma, a man-turned demon and antagonist in another action game franchise, the "Street Fighter."

"Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" was recently revealed during the finals of King of Iron Fist Tournament 2015. Akuma was also announced as the newest "Tekken" character during this time. Shoryuken reported. However, it is not entirely new that Akuma becomes playable in "Tekken 7," as the fictional character was previously included in the crossover game under the title, "Tekken X Street Fighter."

A trailer video for the upcoming "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" shows Heihachi's wife, Kazumi, talking to an unknown character about Heihachi and how he has must be stopped. Later, the video shows a snippet of the gameplay of Akuma fighting against Heihachi .

"Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" is expected to bring new heroes to the arcade machines, like Akuma, plus new items and outfits as well. It was also reported that the latest fighting game in the "Tekken" series is bringing back lots of fans' favorite heroes from the franchise such as Kazuya, Devil Jin, Lars, King, Leo, Law, Lily, Steve, Paul, Yoshimitsu and Xiaoyu.

Meanwhile, the upcoming new heroes are Shaheen, Katarina Alvarez, Josie Rizal and Lucky Chloe.

There has been no announcement yet as to when the game will be released exactly, but Bandai Namco confirmed that the next installment for the popular fighting game will roll out in 2016, Gamespot reported.
