"Tekken 7" will feature improved graphics for the console versions, new game modes, returning characters and an early 2016 launch date.
Game director Katsuhiro Harada updated gaming fans that "Tekken 7" will have improved graphics for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles as he tweeted an answer to fan's question on Twitter. Harada and the Tekken team are currently using the Unreal Engine 4 game software for "Tekken 7" and has been utilized in the arcade versions during the sequel's numerous arcade test all over the world.
Bandai Namco stated that "Tekken 7" will feature virtual reality gameplay as they try to incorporate the PlayStation VR as a new exclusive game feature for the PS4 version, Attack of The Fanboy reported.
Aside from the improved graphics and PlayStation VR features, "Tekken 7" is also being rumored to have an early launch date for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles as Bandai Namco wants to have the game release first as a means to stay ahead of the competition from upcoming fighting game's like "Street Fighter 5" and start developing the second crossover game, "Tekken X Street Fighter", The Christian Post reported.
Harada and the Tekken team have been gathering all sorts of data from arcade tests and has been using the it to come up with new game features for the console versions. Bandai Namco teased new in-depth storylines and game modes, as well as returning to its original roots of one-on-one battles.
"Tekken 7" will likely feature returning characters such as Nina, Anna, Jun Kazama, Kunimitsu, Angel, Kuma and Eliza. Harada also teased a big "if" on whether "Tekken 7" should have a guest character.
The current line up of fighters in the game includes Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi, Hwoarang, Xiaoyu, Lili, Asuka, Dragunov, King, Yoshimitsu, Bryan Fury, Feng Wei, Steve Fox, Lars Alexandersson, Alisa, Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, Devil Jin, Claudio Serafino, Katarina Alves, Jose Rizal, Lucky Chloe, Shaheen, Gigas, Jack-7 and Kazumi Mishima.
"Tekken 7" will launch sometime in 2016 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
