Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin is reportedly contemplating a move away from San Siro to join Chinese Super League club Jiangsu Suning FC after rumors emerged that the squad is offering him €6 million to €7.5 million worth of wages annually to play in China.
According to Football Italia, Jiangsu had "agreed terms with Milan for Luiz Adriano at a cost of €14m plus bonuses" and then submitted a bid "to Inter for Colombia international Guarin on similar terms".
The report went on to say that the 29-year-old Puerto Boyacá, Colombia native is set to "receive a salary of between €6m and €7.5m per season in Jiangsu".
Italian Football Daily said that such amount would make Guarin one of the highest paid players in the Serie A, which could definitely force him to take the opportunity.
Unlike the Adriano transfer which was already made formal, this rumor is still a speculation as no official statements from both clubs were out to confirm any deal.
Guarin joined Internazionale in January 2012 on loan for €1.5 million from Portuguese squad FC Porto. Eventually, the Italian giants made his stay permanent for a transfer fee of €11 million four months later.
The midfielder has been with I Nerazzurri since then and has even extended his contract with the club up to 2017 in March 2014. He appeared in his 100th game for Inter last December 2014, assisting team captain and striker Mauro Icardi during the team's lone goal in a 1-2 home loss to Udinese.
