Speculations have been circling around that HTC will launch their flagship smartphone just in time for Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016. However, as per the latest news, the device is delayed and is expected to arrive in couple months' time.
Many think about the upcoming HTC smartphone as the One M10, although speculations say it can also be the HTC O2 or HTC Aero. Rumors are also circulating that the release of the new HTC flagship will be delayed and should arrive sometime April. Techno Buffalo reported that if this is the case, HTC may plan to redesign the flagship in an extreme manner.
If the rumor about the new flagship's design is true, one can breathe fresh air in addition to last year's flagship device, the HTC One M9, which was very similar to its predecessor - the HTC One M8. Said device however was poorly accepted in the market, hence HTC had to come out with another re-inventive design that lead to the release of the HTC One A9 that looked similarly to the Apple iPhone lineup, with its antenna lines at the back.
With the coming HTC One M10, the device may come waterproof with a metal body, where the design can be drastically altered as compared to its predecessors. The hardware will include a Snapdragon 820 chipset; however, according to Phone Arena, the new handset will utilize two chipsets - with the Snapdragon 820 being used for the international version of the device, and MediaTek chipset on board for those released in Asia.
HTC One M10 will likely launch on March and will only be available in retail stores by April.
