GTA Online's upcoming Valentine's Day details have surfaced online ahead of the official announcement from developer Rockstar.
According to Gamespot, Thursday, Jan 28 saw Rockstar confirming a Valentine's Day event coming to GTA online in February, and told fans to "keep an eye on GTA Online next month for some items you're sure to fall in love with."
The form of items was discovered within the information for recently incorporated cars and modes. Data-miners dug deep and found the Valentine's Day content will come with a new version of the Roosevelt car.
The car was described as follows: "They don't make them like they used to, which is a good thing because here at Albany we've completely run out of ideas. Lovingly remodeled, with room for a new suite of personal modifications, the latest edition of our classic Roosevelt represents a new height of criminal refinement, taking you back to the golden age of fraud, racketeering, and murder when all you had to worry about were a few charges of tax evasion."
Furthermore, a large variety of clothes styled according to a classic American gangster aesthetic will reportedly be included. There is a mention of a new mode in the update, although there are no further details on the mode.
Jan. 28 also saw the inclusion of a mode called Drop Zone. The mode sees a group of paratroopers jumping out of helicopters and then running back to earn control of a piece of land.
Meanwhile, Rockstar have announced a new GTA 5 Online event to celebrate the multiplayer mode's new update, according to Rockstar Games. It is reported that weekend bonuses commence today, with double GTA$ and RP in all Adversary Modes including the new Drop Zone and Races, in addition to deals on gear required for some of the new activities.
Gamers can access the bonus event through GTA 5 launch screen all weekend, putting them directly into the Event Playlist together with other competitors; completing all three Jobs in the Playlist will attract SMG Ammo, Sticky Bombs, and Grenades.
With regard to the paratrooper gear, there is a 50 percent discount on all Paratrooper gear this weekend. Fans should go ahead and stock up Parachutes and Parachute Smoke to perfect their landing strategies in Freemode.
