Shanghai Shenhua is said to be also preparing a bid for the 24-year-old Lille, France native.

Kakuta's outlook on whether he wants to move to the far eastern country is still unknown as of the moment, although it is clear that he had been struggling to obtain his top form since moving to Spain from England.

The 5-foot-8 forward had been with the reigning English Premier League champions Chelsea FC since he began his senior career in 2009. He was actually with Chelsea's youth team since 2007 before he got promoted to the first team after two years.

On November 2009, Kakuta made his highly-anticipated Premier League debut, substituting for Nicolas Anelka at the 60th minute against the Wolverhampton Wanderers. He was also part of then Blues manager Carlo Ancelotti's Champions League roster.

From 2011, he spent the next five years on loan to different football clubs in Spain, England, France, and the Netherlands, namely Fulham FC (January 2011), Bolton Wanderers FC (August 2011), Dijon FCO (January 2012), Vitesse (August 2012), SS Lazio (January 2014), and Rayo Vallecano (July 2014), while still under contract with his mother team Chelsea.

Finally, in June if last year, he was released by Chelsea and was signed by Los Rojiblancos to a four-year deal. As it turned out, after only seven months into the deal, he is again rumored to be on the move this time to China with Hebei.

The Samba Kings had a successful runner-up finish during last season in the Chine League One, the country's second-tier of association football competitions, to qualify for the CSL this season.

The club had been quite active during this winter transfer window, so far successfully acquiring top-level international talents such as former Arsenal forward Gervinho from Roma and Cameroon national team captain Stéphane Mbia from Turkish team Trabzonspor.
