Mojang has just released a new update of "Minecraft" for all platforms. The latest patch introduces several new features, including ice plains, red deserts, dark forests and much more.
"Minecraft" 1.8.8 update will allow fans of this popular sandbox game to enjoy deep oceans, ice spike as well as a savannah. In addition, the patch will enable gamers to discover new territories, where they will find more concealed features in new worlds, such as several varieties of stones and additional trees, Neurogadget reported.
Mojang expects that gamers will like the new trees such as dark oak and acacia, in addition to the ocean monuments. Gamers can also use the new blocks to develop new establishment within the game. The features will especially be welcomed by gamers who have become tired of exploring the same worlds time and again.
While the game will remain the same, the colors and additional trees offer the players a novel outlook. Particularly, the ocean monuments may be somewhat tricky settling. With the availability of the new update, gamers will now be more engrossed in the game and would not leave anything unexplored. Those playing the sandbox game for the first time may find it challenging, but they will definitely feel happy with the rewards.
In order to make the Lunar New Year celebrations more colorful for "Minecraft" fans, Mojang has also rolled out the "Minecraft: The Journey to the West Skin Pack." However, this pack has only been made available for the Windows 10, in addition to the game's pocket edition, another Neurogadget report stated.
The "Minecraft: The Journey to the West Skin Pack" brings in several new features including Black Wind Demon, Bull Demon King, Friar Sand, Guanyin, Monk King, Monk Pig, Red Boy, Jade Emperor, Princess Iron Fan, Lord Hundred-Eyes, Lady Earth Flow, Pale Bone Demon, Spider Demon, Scorpion Demon and Xuanzang.
While gamers will require paying $1.99 for the "Minecraft: The Journey to the West Skin Pack," they can download two features - Red Boy and Guanyin for free.
While Mojang is yet to confirm when the new skin pack will be available for the consoles, the website reported that the Swedish video game developer has different timelines for the update for different versions.
Meanwhile, "Minecraft" fans are expecting a new version of the sandbox game, which will be dedicated to, as Microsoft has recently acquired MinecraftEdu, which the Redmond tech giant plans to draw on for the "Minecraft" education edition.
