An updated version of "Final Fantasy IX," a role-paying video game launched by developer Square Enix for PlayStation in 2000, is now available on Android and iOS devices. The enhanced game incorporates several cheats, which are useful for players desiring to avoid battle or earn lots of money.
"Final Fantasy IX" is being sold for $17, somewhat expensive for any mobile game, for Android as well as iOS devices. In addition, players purchasing the game between Feb. 10 and Feb. 21 are being offered a 20 percent discount, IGN reported.
Though the game will use about 4GB of memory on Android devices, it is essential to have at least 8GB of free space on the device to download it. The size of the game on iOS devices, according to Apple listing, is 2.01GB, but playing and purchasing the game should have devices that are consistent with iOS 7.0 or above.
On the other hand, the game can be downloaded and played on a device running on Android 4.1 or above.
Meanwhile, a listing on Google Play store states that "Final Fantasy IX" for Android and iOS devices introduces new achievements and seven game boosters such as high speed, but without any encounter modes. The mobile version of the game also offers autosave, character models as well as high-definition (HD) movies.
"Final Fantasy IX" has not only received high acclaims, but many fans of this series are of the view that it is the best "Final Fantasy" game released by Square Enix so far. To a great extent, "Final Fantasy IX" has been inspired by mechanics of original "Final Fantasy" game, wherein the gamers play the character of young thief Zidane Tribal who triggers a war in her mission to crush Queen Brahne of Alexandria, PhoneArena reported.
The game comes with three in-built cheats including Master Abilities, Level/ Stone and Gil Max. In addition, four more cheats become available when a player presses the Pause button. The additional cheats include 9999 Dmg Toggle, Fast Forward, No Random Encounters, and Full meters. In fact, diehard fans of "Final Fantasy" would object to these cheats, as they make the game less challenging.
Meanwhile, Square Enix is yet to confirm when it would release "Final Fantasy IX" on Steam release. Currently, the developer's Steam page says that the game will come on the platform in early 2016.
