Microsoft needs to unveil an official statement yet as to the speculation that Lumia 850, or perhaps Lumia 650 XL, will succeed Lumia 830, which was released in 2014.
Many reports have been affirming that the handset will have its first appearance in the 3-day Barcelona Mobile World Congress 2016 event, which will take place on Feb. 22 - Feb. 25.
Since July 2015, speculations about the Lumia 850 had been circling around the web. Back then, the speculation says it will be released along with Lumia 550, which is now available since late 2015. Thereafter, reports say the Lumia 850 will be released in the first quarters of 2016, alongside the Lumia 650.
As per Ithome, it unveiled the model number of the device which is RM-1182, and has an approved 3C certification from China. The so-called device is believed to be the Lumia 850, which should be taken lightly with a grain of salt.
Additionally, supposed pictures of the handset were recently shown online, hinting few characteristics that will come along with it. The handset may be packed with a 5.4-inches full-HD display, and powered by a Snapdragon chipset clocked at 1.5GHz with Adreno GPU. True enough, this is the first smartphone with a front-facing LED flash feature. The front camera will be 5MP, and the rear camera will be 10MP.
The device is also anticipated to have 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage, will support Cat.7 LTE, and have 2650mAh battery capacity. It is possible that the rumored Microsoft Nikie Lumia 850 to come in different color variants such as dark silver, black, white and gold.
On other Microsoft Lumia news, the leaked images stirred quite confusion to some, as it is said that the images is a snapshot of Lumia 650 XL; however, the same image was already leaked before, and it was tagged as Lumia 850 back then, GSM Arena reported.
Microsoft has remained mum amidst growing speculations arising from the device. Avid enthusiasts will need to wait a little further up till a formal statement from the company is announced.
