Speculations have been circling around about some handsets developed by Microsoft, and confusion has been arising about them but they refuse to die down. Significantly, this is not the very first time that new mobile phones, with the Lumia brand, have been surfaced. Antecedently, the spotlight was on the leaked Microsoft Lumia 850.
In 2015, the Redmond-based tech giant Microsoft innovated the polycarbonate encased Lumia 950 XL and Lumia 950. These mobile phones were equipped with great chipsets, cameras and features; however, they failed to increase Microsoft sales and consumer interest. This left many consumers thinking if Microsoft will have adequate reasons to create more interesting and high-end smartphones from the Lumia brand.
However, soon afterwards, speculations about the Lumia 650 XL and Lumia 850 have been surfacing. The latest of these speculations centered on live photos of the Lumia 850 on SlashGear, although it is said that these leaked images were already unveiled before as Lumia 650 XL. As per reports, it shows that Microsoft will shelve the concept of a Lumia 850, and instead, carry out the Lumia 650 XL version.
As for speculations directly towards the Lumia 650 XL, the device is thought to be a lower-end handset offering, with metal frame and a plastic back panel. The device is also rumored to have a 5.4-inches display with Snapdragon chipset.
As to the other Lumia device, it is said that the Lumia 650 DS will have a model number RM-1154, GSMArena reported. Significantly, this variant is thought to have a dual SIM slot and is coming close to its release, as spotted through FCC lately. The Lumia 650 DS is widely thought to be revealed next week, and will arrive with a single SIM slot variant, along with the Lumia 650 XL. Moreover, the single SIM handset, with model number RM-1152 is already approved by FCC.
Lastly, the notable mobile phones should be unveiled really soon, with their specs and features revealed from anticipated speculations circling at usual intervals.
So let's keep a close watch until they are finally unveiled.
