First episode of popular horror game series - "The Walking Dead: Michonne" - shall be launched on Feb. 23. "The Walking Dead: Michonne" is a new miniseries of "The Walking Dead" video game developed by Telltale Games.
"The Walking Dead" is an episodic, interactive, adventure-horror game series that draws its inspiration from popular comic series of same name by Robert Kirkman. It is said that "Michonne" miniseries shall act as a bridge between Season two and Season three of "The Walking Dead," Gaming Bolt reported.
According to IGN, "The Walking Dead: Michonne" is a three-part gaming bundle available at a cost of $15 (amounting to Rs. 1030 according to current exchange rate). Its first episode is titled "In Too Deep" and the second episode is titled "Give No Shelter," which is expected to be released in March. Moreover, the third episode is "What We Deserve," and it is likely to be released in April.
Telltale Games has released trailer and screenshots for "Michonne," wherein the developer will be hosting an extended preview of "Michonne" on its official YouTube channel. The "The Walking Dead" game title shall cast Samira Wiley as Michonne, who is popularly known for her role as Poussey Washington in the Netflix original show "Orange is the New Black."
Plot lines for Episode 1 are already available online, and Episode One shall see Michonne and Pete with his crew on the ship "Companion." As they search coasts for supplies and signs of life, they will receive some form of a signal. Following this signal, they will be brought to scenes of a massacre, and the group shall be led to a survivor's colony where they will search for answers.
"The Walking Dead: Michonne" will be available in PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on Feb. 23, while the games' iOS and Android launch will happen 2 days after, Feb. 25. No announcements have been made yet for PlayStation Vita or Wii U release.
"The Walking Dead: Michonne" was initially planned for 2015 launch; however, it did not happen due to unknown reasons. Now, it is yet unclear if the Feb. 23 release date of the game title will be pushed further or not.
