New details of the "Crash Bandicoot" reboot will feature a rumored E3 2016 appearance and NECA clarifies the status of the classic PlayStation video game.
Several rumors are making rounds that a new "Crash Bandicoot" game will be in the works when the National Entertainment Collectibles Association director Randy Falk stated that the classic PlayStation video game will make a comeback and Sony might be developing the reboot for the PlayStation 4 console.
The first clues on the rumored "Crash Bandicoot" reboot video game was first sited in the official Twitter page of PlayStation Middle-East tweeted an image of Crash Bandicoot, which spark the assumption by the many netizens and gaming fans that that game will be returning soon. Falk added that if Sony did make a new "Crash Bandicoot" game, NECA will be interested in creating collectible toys with them.
However, it not entirely the case as a representative from NECA clarified that the rumored "Crash Bandicoot" reboot will not likely make a comeback anytime soon. The representative told Gamespot that "it is not the case" as someone just "misunderstood" the comment made by Falk and that he just saw a fan-made image right before to the show and said that if the game were coming back, they would love to do figures for Sony.
Gaming fans took the statement with a pinch of salt, but they several fans still believed that the "Crash Bandicoot" reboot video game is still possible due to NECA's working relationship with Sony as they have worked in making products from other video game titles like "Uncharted 4", "Little Big Planet" and "God of War".
There are also rumored reports that Sony now owns the rights of the "Crash Bandicoot" brand from Activision and gaming fans noticed Sony Entertainment America President Shawn Layden wore a "Crash Bandicoot" t-shirt during the PlayStation Experience event last year, thus indicating that Sony will make a reboot soon.
There is also another rumor making rounds that the "Crash Bandicoot" reboot could be making its debut in the E3 2016 event, although it is not yet clarified if the rumors where indeed true or just another fans speculation, What Culture reported.
"Crash Bandicoot" was original developed by Naught Dog and it was exclusive only for the PlayStation console. The original game debut in 1996 in the first PlayStation console and was re-launched in 2007 as a downloadable game in the PSN. In addition, 2016 marks that 20th Anniversary of the beloved video game franchise and fans are still hoping for a "Crash Bandicoot" reboot for the PS4 soon.
