Good news to all "Street Fighter" enthusiasts, as the newly released "Street Fighter 5" will add six new characters on its roster, plus its game developer announced that the game's cinematic campaign will be out later this year.
The fifth entry of the "Street Fighter" series, which was recently released in Feb. 16 for PlayStation 4 and Windows PC, is now getting rave reviews from gamers across the gaming industry. As a token of appreciation, the game publisher Capcom will add six new characters to "Street Fighter V"; however, these characters will only appear by the end of 2016.
At the moment, the recently released installment of "Street Fighter," which was dubbed as one of the best-selling video game ever, has 16 playable characters that includes R. Mika, Chun Li, Ryu, Cammy, Birdie, Nash, Necalli, M. Bison, Karin, Vega and Zangief, to name a few. The new "Street Fighter V" DLC characters that gamers need to look out for are Urien, Alex, Ibuki, Balrug and Juri, Attack of Fanboy reported.
Earlier reports claim that each DLC character will be priced at $6 if gamers buy them outright; however, they can also acquire these characters via a currency called Zenny or unlocking then via Fight Money. If players opt to just unlock these characters via Fight Money, then it would cost them 100,000 FM per character; however, if one will opt to the former mode of payment, then the player will need 600 Zenny per character.
Aside from the DLC characters, players will be able to also unlock Story Mode costumes that will cost them 40,000 FM; however, unfortunately, there's no option for players to unlock the said costumes using Zenny.
Meanwhile, according to IGN, a cinematic campaign will be out later in 2016. It is said that "Street Fighter 5" cinematic story mode, which will be a free DLC, will be released in June. The said DLC will focus on every background of the characters, and will reveal more detailed and bigger information about "Street Fighter III" and "Street Fighter IV" gap.
