It could be that the MacBook Pro and Air release dates this 2016 is happening soon as Apple appears to accelerate the clearing of existing inventory of its notebook lineup. Savings of up to $320 can be realized on the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro deals that a new report described as "the lowest prices of the year on Apple's most popular," laptops.
According to Apple Insider, the killer deals are available through Apple authorized dealer B&H Photo & Video and will run from February 22 to 27. Takers will enjoy free shipping fee, loads of freebies and the bonus of a waived sales tax that applies in most territories inside the United States save for New York.
During the 5-day sales promo, shoppers can choose from the menu of 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros that offer discounts starting at $130. Or they can opt for the build-to-order or BTO configurations that come with extra $70 off, which is an Apple Insider exclusive.
The biggest price cut of $320 is reserved for buyers of the 15.5-inch MacBook Pro that is laced with the following specs: a 2.5GHz processor, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The latest sticker price stands at $2,179.
And the cheapest MacBook Pro on the list is the 13-inch variant with 2.7GHz, 8GB RAM and 128GB memory but those who pick will only get discount of $130 from the current tag price of $1.169.
The promotional package also dangles the red-hot iPad Pro that temps with discounts of up to $80.
The limited deals came as Apple is preparing for its March 15 news briefing that is believed to be the occasion to reveal the 4-inch iPhone 5SE, the iPad Air 3 and a significant update to the current generation of Apple Watch. Rumors, however, are rife that the tech giant could squeeze in sneak peeks of the MacBook Pro and Air 2016 refresh.
Should that be the case and considering that deals involving the old MacBooks seem to start flooding in, many are betting that the replacements are touching down soon. Irresistible sales offerings, as experts would say, are age-old practice of pushing out old stocks to make room for the fresh shipments, which likely would be the MacBook Pro and Air 2016 lineup.
At any rate, the earliest MacBook Pro and Air 2016 release dates would likely be right after the annual Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in early June or a few months after the rumored March introduction of the new devices.
