More proofs are coming out that the upcoming Nintendo NX is a powerful gaming console that has the chops to beat both the Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One in terms of hardware specifications. The most solid indicator appears to be the suggestion that on release date, the gaming device will come bundled with Zelda NX and the remakes of Final Fantasy VII and XV.
Gaming blog site NintenGen has earlier reported that the NX will hit the market preloaded with a Zelda game title that is specifically designed for the gaming machine. The same report added that with a game that is graphic-intensive such as Zelda, Nintendo seems to have taken the console course for its next-generation gaming device.
NintenGen pointed to an unnamed Nintendo insider as source of its information.
Zelda as part of the Nintendo NX launch will add the popular game as the machine's reported launch titles that will include the remakes of FFVII and FFXV, which somehow hints of the Japanese game maker's grand plans for what is now shaping up as the replacement to the not-too-successful Nintendo Wii U.
A new report, however, is suggesting that the planned NX launch title package is far from being finalized. According to Nintendo Life, the game maker is set to partner with Electronic Arts (EA) for the latter's apparent support of the NX. The same report indicated that the two companies are scheduled for series of meetings this coming March, adding that it is likely that EA has been provided in advanced of the NX dev kits.
The latest development, while yet to be confirmed by both Nintendo and EA, seems to suggest that NX will also come preloaded with popular hit titles and among those mentioned are FIFA and Madden versions specifically adjusted for the upcoming machine that according to its maker will bring forward a new gaming concept.
The Nintendo Life report did not touch on launch timing details though NintenGen has claimed that the NX is likely to come out in time for the 2016 holiday season.
Yet in a new report, BGR said that research firm DFC Intelligence is advising against a 2016 holiday rollout for the Nintendo NX as the device will be forced to compete against the hotly anticipated virtual reality or VR gears such as the PlayStation VR and Oculus Rift.
"Launching a new system in 2016 would be a mistake, and under any scenario, the Nintendo NX will not have an impact on the market until late 2017," the report said.
In the event Nintendo takes heed, the earliest release date for the Nintendo NX would be between December 2016 and the first three months of 2017.
