After a one-year hiatus from acting, Isaac Hempstead-Wright, 16, is back. He is set to reprise his role as Brank Stark in "Game of Thrones" Season 6, which will premiere on HBO on April 24
On Feb. 17, Hempstead-Wright was in Austin, Texas, with Dean-Charles Chapman, who is also reprising his role as Tommen Baratheon in "Game of Thrones" Season 6. The two presented the Best Music Video award to Slaves at the NME Awards 2016, NME reported.
At the event, Hempstead-Wright told Loaded that viewers will see things they have "never quite made sense before" in "Game of Thrones" Season 6, which "sees everything get bigger and bigger and bigger." He said, "Stories all start to come together to make sense."
The last time Bran Stark was seen in the HBO series was in the episode titled "The Children," which aired on June 15, 2014. The character discovered Jamie Lannister's (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) incestuous relationship with Cersei Lannister (Lena Headley), which led to the loss of the use of both legs after Jamie threw him out of a window.
For Hempstead-Wright, it was a shame not being in "Game of Thrones" Season 5 although it was the right time for him to take a year out. Since he had not done any acting in 2015, he said it was "quite a shock to the system to go back on a freezing cold film set."
Meanwhile, netizens went gaga over a man from Mountain Province, Philippines, whose candid photos recently went viral. He was compared to several Filipino and international actors as well as Bran Stark.
The man is identified as Jeyrick Sigmaton, who was photographed carrying a basket of carrots by a tourist named Edwina T. Bandong. Many netizens said he looks like Hempstead-Wright's "Game of Thrones" character, who is the son of Ned Stark (Sean Bean).
Thousands of netizens shared Sigmaton's photos on social media and he was dubbed the Carrot man. He is said to have attended the University of Cordilleras in Baguio City, Philippines.
Among Hempstead-Wright and Chapman's co-stars in "Game of Thrones" Season 6 are Max von Sydow, Maisie Williams, Emilia Clarke, Andrei Claude and Alfie Allen. Watch the upcoming season's teaser here:
