Fans of ArenaNet's Massively Multiplayer Online role-playing game (MMORPG) "Guild Wars 2" will be delighted as the Bellevue-based video game developer announced the first expansion pack of "Guild of War 2" called "Heart of Thorns" though release date has yet to be determined, PC Gamer reported.
It appears that the expansion pack have been in the works for several years now, but according to Polygon, even though ArenaNet declined to comment about the release date of "Heart of Thorns." Instead, they have provided a juicy news on how the clamoring fans can play and can get a hands-on on "Guild Wars 2" new expansion pack. "Guild Wars 2" enthusiasts will just need to wait for about six weeks in order to play the demo at PAX East.
The new expansion pack "Heart of Thorns," dubbed to be ArenaNet's most dynamic and detailed environment created, will send players for new adventures into the deep jungle called Maguuma Jungle, in which, players will then find themselves fighting with new enemies. Since this is the first "Guild Wars 2" expansion pack, it is said that players should expect new storyline, Guild Halls, new professions, new mode and most importantly, new zones. It is said that the Heart of Maguuma is ArenaNet's largest area ever built.
Another notable feature that gamers should look out for is the new customization of characters. During the premier of "Heart of Thorns" trailer at PAX south stage, Game Director Colin Johanson cited an example of Rangers transforming to Druids.
"Guild Wars 2" was first released on Aug. 28, 2012 and was made available for Windows PC and MAC owners.
