Supercell has just made official its latest game title called Clash Royale, which is playable on both iOS and Android platforms. Unsurprisingly, the new offering carries with it signatures of the hugely popular Clash of Clans that give its maker a considerable head start.

CoC fans, casual and hardcore gamers alike, should check out the new Supercell title and listed below are some of the compelling reasons to take Clash Royale for a spin:

Clash of Clans with a different taste

Trying out Clash Royale should prove an easy ride to CoC veterans as the game is "basically a turn-based version of Clash of Clans with a very fast pace and a similar look and feel," Gotta Be Mobile said in a report. Gamers will practically get the same settings they got used spending hours and hours with CoC - the Royale characters are obviously CoC-inspired so settling should be quick enough with the enjoyment factor likely to take effect at the same pace.

But make no mistake as Clash Royale will eventually turn out a different animal too, a fact that will become more apparent when the digging gets deeper. "Everything is similar to Clash of Clans, but with a slightly different look and feel. Then of course the card-collecting and refining a strategy for attacks makes it substantially different," GBM said.

Simple gameplay and fast-paced flow

The Clash Royale gameplay is quite simple. "The aim of the game is to knock the enemy King and Princesses from their towers on the other side of the field. In doing so, you'll win trophies and crowns, which will in turn earn you rewards, new cards and upgrades to your existing cards," Android Authority reported.

And as a strategy game, the flow is characterized by speed with players needing to outsmart and overpower their opponents to neutralize the Royales on the other side. One key element of the game is attacking by deployment of troops, a move that is nearly fluid thanks to the quick to refill Elixir that only highlights the fast-paced Clash Royale game flow.

Full game version

GBM noted on its report that Clash Royale was in beta version prior to its commercial availability. The latest and official build includes key adjustments and fixes from the last beta, meaning that players from the iOS and Android realms are getting a taste of Clash Royale that is stable, tweaked out to the best form and with a well-thought or balanced gameplay.

Exciting gameplay that is nearly, totally free

Perhaps the best part about the Clash Royale is its element of excitement comes with nearly no cost at all. Like in CoC, rewards, new cards and upgrades can be earned so "it should be easy enough to play through the game without spending your hard-earned dollars," Android Authority said.

However, Supercell has provided a shortcut for those wanting to speed things up a bit - in-app purchase that provides ready access to cards and gems that do not spoil the fun at all but still make for an intense Clash Royale slugfest.
