Speculations are rife that the HTC One M10 may use Nexus 6P's camera sensor ie., the Sony IMX377 12MP 1.55um sensor and a 5 MP Ultrapixel secondary camera. It is expected to provide stiff competition to the upcoming Apple iPhone 7.
HTC CFO Chialin Chang revealed in an interview to CNET that the device will come with a very compelling camera experience. The 12 mega pixel main camera and the 5 mega pixel secondary camera will be equipped with the feature of Laser Autofocus.
According to GSM Arena, a recent leak confirmed that the upcoming HTC One M10 will be armed with a superb quality camera. The leaked picture shows the rear camera taking a picture of a slimy keyboard. However, since it is equipped with high end technology, the viewers are able to see some EXIF data to the absolute detail in this picture. It is reported that this photo was shot in 16:9 aspect ratio along with a resolution of 2,250 x 4,000 pixels.
In addition with a compelling camera, the upcoming flagship from HTC is also expected to feature many other high end specs. While it is said to be adapting the design of the HTC One A9, it will be equipped with a 5.1-inch high definition screen along with a larger home button this time. The leaked image also shows a proximity sensor which is situated just above the speaker.
It will be powered with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor along with the Media Tek chipset. At the memory front, it will be equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage memory. It will also come armed with a microSD card slot and Optical Image Stabilization, along with the Sapphire Lens Cover.
The launch of HTC One M10 was initially expected to happen at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event 2016. However, it is now believed that the company is planning to launch it in London.
The HTC One M10 release is expected to happen on May 9. The price of the device is yet to be revealed.
