The hit animated TV series "South Park" is rumoured to be coming soon with short seasons of ten episodes each. The animated series is going to stick to their old formula and will focus solely on current issues. The show will no longer be divided into two parts, like the method it has used before. It will only be depicting the fall part.
In an interview with IGN, Network President Michele Ganeless has confirmed that "South Park" is renewed for three more seasons to come apart from season 20. The three new seasons - 21, 22 and 23 - will be aired through the year 2019. Ganeless added that the upcoming seasons of "South Park" will further maintain to gather fans from all generations. He believes that "South Park" will keep performing well, as it has from the past two decades. The new season is speculated to release on Sept. 21, 2016.
Apparently, Matt Stone and Trey Parker are reported to have come to the agreement that they will keep up with the show, only if it will be aired in the fall. The upcoming all seasons from "South Park" TV series will air ten episodes each, making them condensed seasons of about 10 weeks. The reason behind the mini seasons of "South Park" is said to be due to the busy schedules of the series' creators.
"South Park" will continue its foray in the areas of contemporary news and affairs, which society is currently facing, in the upcoming seasons, iDigital Times reported. The new deal with Comedy Central of Stone and Parker is aiming to make "South Park" as the longest running TV and animated series on network. "South Park" extension for more new seasons is under the impression of achieving a new milestone of airing 300 episodes of an animated television series.
"South Park" season 19 became an instant hit with fans, and a learning source with satirical intends at all kinds of current affairs. It took a huge dig at society's stereotypical thinking and won fans hearts. The debut of PC Principal and clever commentary on current statuses of PC generation is rumored to be continuing with the upcoming seasons.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Parker and Stone have opened up their own production house, which will take in films, television series, and theatrical projects. Production house named Important Studios is currently running "Book of Mormon" and will continue with more national tours of the same.
