What will make the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus on release date remains wrapped in mystery. Thankfully, Apple is dropping bits of hints with its latest patent publications and the most recent beta build of iOS 9.3. The patents point to upcoming iPhone technology while iOS 9.3 is mostly packed with features likely to carry over on iOS 10.
So these are the killer features detected so far and likely will end up with the next iPhone:
Night Shift
From beta one of iOS 9.3, developers said that Night Shift mode is coming to devices that will run on the operating system. The coverage will include both the iPhones and iPads and the benefit is mainly to make the devices sleep-friendly.
Night Shift will minimize the eye exposure on blue light by rendering the device display warmer during nighttime, making it yellowish that supposedly will have less impact on one's sleep pattern. And it is expected that the same feature will find its way to iOS 10 and therefore the next iPhone, and most likely in an enhanced version.
Password-secured Notes entries
Apple is also working on further securing the privacy of iPhone users with iOS 9.3 beta showing that entries made on the Notes application can be password-protected. With the ongoing Apple-FBI issue, the chance is high that the new feature will extend to other native iOS applications, which certainly is something to look forward on iOS 10-powered 2016 iPhones and iPads.
Multiple Apple Watch pairing
Apple Watch is expected to be upgraded this year and the next-generation builds are expected to spur second or third buys. In preparation, iOS 9.3 will support multiple pairing of Apple Watch on a single iPhones will be seen first on the 6S and going forward to the iPhone 7.
Dual-camera on next iPhone?
Will Apple finally deliver a dual-camera system with the iPhone 7 unboxing? The technology promises a huge jump in capturing or producing high quality images and clips using only the handy iPhone shooter.
The upgrade will make the iPhone 7 camera shooting capabilities near to a DSLR rig and according to MacRumors, Apple has the technology to support the rumored camera feature upgrades in time for the iPhone 7 release date in the second half of 2016. How it will work is demoed on the MacRumors clip below:
