"Supernatural" Season 11 continues to be on hiatus for two more weeks. The show will resume its run on the television on March 23, Wednesday with episode 16 titled "Safe House." In the meantime, the synopsis for the highly anticipated segment has been released. It teases the appearance of old friends of Winchester brothers, Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki). In the upcoming segment, Sam and Dean fight against a mysterious monster. According to the Spoilersguide description for episode 16 of "Supernatural" Season 11, a mother and child's life gets in danger when a frightening creature is "accidentally released" in their old house. The mysterious creature makes the family the victim of its wrath and they both end up in a coma.
While working on their new mission, the Winchester brothers realise how their old friends Rufus (Steven Williams) and Bobby (Jim Beaver) had "once tracked the same entity" and dealt with something similar.
So, Sam and Dean visit the past to devise a plan to take down the monster and stop it from killing anyone. Who this monster is, remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, a promo video for "Supernatural" Season 11 teases the events of episode 16. It showcases the return of Amara/the Darkness, who seems to be angry. She is determined to annihilate the mankind. "The world is going to burn, and once she gets started, that's the end," Dean says in the background.
However, the Winchester brothers won't give up and will do anything to defeat Amara. In the promo video, Sam and Dean appears to have discovered where Darkness is.
In addition, the episode 16 is expected to explore Castiel and Lucifer's battle. Using Castiel's body, Lucifer wants to get rid of the Darkness.
