LG G5 to release during the first week of April in US as LG G4 receives a $300 price cut

LG G5 smartphone may release during the first week of April in the United States as LG G4 has received a $300 price cut.

The online retailer Amazon is at present offering the unlocked LG G4 with model number H815 with 32 GB storage for $374.98. The initial price of the handset is $679.99.

Another LG G4 variant that comes with a US warranty is available for $359. The initial price of the device is $579. Also, the mobile carrier T-Mobile is currently offering the LG G4 smartphone for $349.

The original price of the device is $599.

Meanwhile, the electronics company LG will launch the LG G5 smartphone on April 8 in Canada. According to reports, this date could serve as the launch date for the device in the United States.

When the electronics company unveiled the LG G5 at Mobile World Congress 2016, it never gave a precise release date. However, LG said that the device will be available in April 2016. Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon have declared they will offer the the new smartphone.

Now LG has declared that the modular smartphone will be released on April 8 in Canada.

Valerie Malone, director of marketing at LG, said that the fact that people in Canada will also be able to buy LG Friends means they will be able to increase the capabilities of their device to capture more content.

Videotron, Telus, SaskTel, MTS, Wind Mobile, Bell and Eastlink will offer the LG G5 smartphone.

If reports are anything to go by, carriers such as Fido and Rogers will include a special promotion with the launch of the LG flagship. People who preorder LG G5 will get a free CAM Plus accessory.

There is no information on exact release date for the device in the U.S. However, reports suggest that the LG smartphone will be released during the first week of April.

The LG G5 features a 5.3-inch display and is powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset. It weighs 159 grams and measures 149mm x 73.9mm x 7.7 mm. The LG smartphone has 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.

Other features of the device include a 8-megapixel front camera, 2800mAh removable battery and 16-megapixel primary camera on the back.
