Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has received a massive price cut. Also, according to recent reports, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 are now getting Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update.
eBay is now offering 128 GB Galaxy S6 Edge for $469.99. The original price of the smartphone was $899.99. The Galaxy S6 edge carries model number SM-G925V and it works with GSM networks. Also, the model is compatible with Verizon; however, it is not compatible with Sprint.
The smartphone comes in gold, black and white colors. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone was released in March last year. The handset has a 5.1-inch screen with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, according to a report from Digital Trends.
The Samsung device, which weighs 132 grams, has a 2600mAh non removable battery. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge measures 142.10mm x 70.10mm x 7.00mm.
The mobile phone is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 7420 chipset and has 3GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has 32GB of internal storage that users cannot expand. It sports a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera.
Also, according to latest reports, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update is now rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge phones. Reports also suggest that the Galaxy Tab S2 and Galaxy S5 will get the Android Marshmallow update in April 2016.
Samsung has released Android 6.0.1 only to Galaxy S6 handsets with model number SM-G920F and Galaxy S6 Edge devices with model number SM-G925F.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 units are being upgraded to Android 6.0.1 M in South Korea. Major carriers in the United States said that they will roll out Marshmallow to the S6 and S6 Edge phones.
Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes with new features such as an improved version of TouchWiz UI, improved app permissions control, Doze battery manager, Google Now on Tap and a new browser that allows ad-blocking.
In addition, there will be new emojis bundled in the update for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 devices.
Samsung Galaxy S6 was also released in March 2015. The device sports a 5.10-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution.
Some of the features of the handset include a 5-megapixel front shooter, 2550mAh non removable battery, 32GB of internal storage, Samsung Exynos 7420 processor, 16-megapixel rear-facing camera and 3GB of RAM.
