"Dancing with the Stars" Season 9 winner Donny Osmond recently revealed that Marshall Mathers III, who is professionally known as Eminem, is one of the celebrities who look up to him. The former teen idol shared an incident when he and the Detroit rapper attended the Brit Awards.
In an interview with New York Post, Osmond was asked if he ever has unlikely fans reveal themselves to him. He replied, "Oh, all the time. About 10 years ago at the Brit Awards, Eminem was performing and I wanted to meet him."
"So I go to his 7-foot security guard and tell him I want to say hi," Osmond recalled. He added that then then walked in and Eminem came running up to him and hugged him.
Eminem won Best International Male Solo Artist at the Brit Awards in 2001, 2003, 2005, 2010 and 2014. He also won Best International Album for "The Eminem Show" in 2003 and for "Recovery" in 2011.
According to Osmond, Eminem told him that he watched his show as a kid and told him he was a huge influence on him. In response, Osmond said, "Oh, so it's my fault!"
On the other hand, Osmond made it clear that he is not a huge fan of Eminem although he loves the Detroit rapper's song "Monster" featuring Rihanna, who was spotted wearing 1990s fashion while watching the Los Angeles Lakers game with the Golden State Warriors at the Staples Center on March 6, Sunday, Huffington Post reported.
As a singer, Osmond has released 60 studio albums. The most recent one is "The Soundtracj of My Life," which was released in the United Kingdom on Nov. 10, 2014. The album was later released in the United States on Jan. 13, 2015.
In 2009, Osmond won "DWTS" Season 9 with Kym Johnson as his professional partner. In second place was Mya with Dmitry Chaplin followed by Kelly Osbourne with Louis Van Amstrel in third place.
