Google appears all set for the Nexus 2016 release date, which could happen soon as the current models are getting significant price cuts or being bundled with tempting freebies. Grabbing any of the promo-laced LG Nexus 5X and the Huawei Nexus 6P now will mean savings of up to $100 or taking home goodies worth $50.
As if indicating that these Pure Android flagships are set to be refreshed real soon, Google and its retails partners are dangling irresistible deals that involve the well-received Nexus 5X and 6P. According to BGR, the best offer comes from B&H Photo and Video and specifically for the 32GB Nexus 5X that is wrapped in casing.
Originally, the 5X starts at $349 over at the Google Play Store for the 16GB flavor but the B&H promo renders 32GB white variant at only $259, which is the lowest price to date for the smartphone that boasts of a 5.2-inch screen, a 6-core Snapdragon 808 processing chip and 2GB of RAM.
And the best part about the 5X is the stock Android Marshmallow that slides out of the box with the device, which also means that once Android N or version 7.0 is ready to be served the Nexus 5X will be quick to chew in.
But for Nexus fans eyeing the premium and metal-clad Nexus 6P, up to a $100 will be shave off from the original price tag, meaning the 32GB model is down to $399 while the higher 64GB slid to at $449. The 6P asks for more dollars but is understandable as the device is more high-end in all respects compared to the 5X. Its main engine is an 8-core Snapdragon 810 chip that is paired with 3GB of RAM with a camera combo of 12.3-megapixel on rear and 8-megapixel on front.
The Nexus 6P display screams at 5.7-inch AMOLED display that overwhelms and dwarfs over any of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
And the ongoing Nexus 2015 deals, according to Droid Life, can also be found on major sellers like Amazon, Best Buy and Newegg - all inviting buyers with offers of either $50 discounts or gift cards.
Now it should be noted too that deals drop in the same week that Google pulled off a surprise - that is letting out the preview builds of Android N that revealed upcoming Nexus features such as Multitasking Mode, Night Mode, Quick Reply and Redesigned Notification and Settings UI.
All these noises appear to suggest the imminent rollout of the product sequels - that of the next Nexus family of devices and the next Android build.
Details are expected to firm up immediately after the Google I/O 2016 that TechRadar said will kick off May 18. The event is believed to officially launch Android N and the first set of devices the Google mobile operating system will power - the Nexus 2016 handsets that reportedly will be assembled by HTC and Huawei.
