"New Girl" season 5 will see Schmidt's dad return for his son's wedding day.
According to TV Line, actor Peter Gallagher will make sure to be at his son and Cece's special day.
Other than the return of Gallagher, cast members Hannah Simone and Max Greenfield also talked about their upcoming bachelor and bachelorette party.
According to Greenfield, his bachelor party with Nick (Jake Johnson) and Winston (Lamorne Morris) will involve the desert and motorcycles.
As of late, fans can only guess what exactly will happen to the boys' night out.
Meanwhile, Simone revealed that Cece's bachelorette party with Jess (Zooey Deschanel), and possibly Reagan (Megan Fox) could potentially at least one of them being reprimanded by police officials.
Simone added that her character's party may involve an accidently criminal activity of some sort.
In other news, series creator Liz Meriweather talked about Schmidt and Cece's wedding day, and said that it's guaranteed the two will make it down the aisle and tie the knot.
The showrunner also said that she and her team had quite a hard time to come up with an original TV wedding because most shows have featured at least one.
"We're trying to do it in a unique way. We've done wedding already for Cece, so we want this one to be more special and emotional," she said.
Meanwhile, the showrunners Meriweather and Bret Baer also talked about Winston.
Some fans think that not much is being written for the character. However, they have decided to write a storyline wherein Winston will have a crush on his partner Aly.
"The writers are playing around with the idea that I have a crush on my cop partner, Aly, played by Nasim Pedrad. I don't know if it's going to go out there or not. Pedrad did just get a pilot picked up... but if it were up to me, yeah, Winston needs some love," Morris said.
Lastly, Meriweather also weighed on Jess and Nick's relationship. Despite Nick's decision to kiss Reagan, the series creator said that Jess and Nick's ship hasn't sailed.
"In many ways, their relationship is the heart of the show," she said.
"New Girl" season 5 will airs its final episode on March 31.
