"The Flash" season 2 will feature the possible identity of the masked prisoner, Kevin Smith's episode being teased and Kara Danvers to race Barry Allen in "Supergirl" crossover episode.
The script for episode 21 of "The Flash" season 2 has been revealed online as "Thor" movie screenwriter Zack Stentz tweeted a photo of the episode script with a pen covering the episode title. Episode 21 will be directed by renowned comic book fanatic Kevin Smith and so far, there are no details regarding the synopsis for the new episode.
However, since this is episode 21 which is one of the many final episode for "The Flash" season 2 could reveal something big for Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) and the rest of Team Flash in their war against Zoom (Tony Todd and Teddy Sears).
Aside from the episode script, a new theory on the identity of Zoom's masked prisoner on Earth 2 has been revealed as writer Rob Leane theorized that the iron masked man could be someone that the viewers are familiar of in "The Flash" TV series.
Leane cited his appearance as caucassian with blonde hair and heavy-set male body. When Barry Allen and Jesse Chambers Wells (Violett Beane) try to decipher his code, which revealed the word "Jay" as he tries to know of Jay Garrick/The Flash (Sears) is dead, to which Barry responds that he is alive a resides of Earth 1 much of the masked man's surprise and chagrin.
It is hinted that the iron masked man's identity could be Henry Allen (John Wesly Shipp) or an Earth 2 version of Barry's father, while another guess could be an Earth 2 version of Eddie Thawne or an Earth 2 Eobard Thawne, Den of Geek reported.
With Zoom revealed as "Jay Garrick"/ Hunter Zolomon and other Garrick being dead it seems that the masked prisoner holds the key stopping the evil speedster's reign of terror in Earth 2.
In other news, the cast and producers of "Supergirl" TV series teased several new details for crossover episode featuring The Flash in "Worlds Finest".
TV series star Melissa Benoist stated that she is excited about crossover as she stated that Kara Danvers/Supergirl will be surprised to see someone like Barry Allen/The Flash and even teased of a possible race between the two heroes in the show.
Executive Producer Ali Adler stated that both Benoist and Gustin have good chemistry on the set as both were part of "Glee" making it easier for them work with each other. Adler added that Barry's presence in Kara's life could prove to have a potential rivalry with James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks), IGN reported.
Brooks explained that Jimmy is jealous of Barry Allen due to the fact that both him and Kara are superheroes and they can relate to each other.
The plot for "Worlds Finest" episode will have Kara Danvers/Supergirl meet the Barry Allen/The Flash who lands on National City from another dimension. Barry then helps Kara fight off two of Supergirl's enemies, Siobhan Smythe/Silver Banshee (Italia Ricci) and Leslie Williams/ Livewire (Britt Morgan) as they have Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) as a hostage.
"The Flash" season 2 will return on March 22 Tuesday 8pm on the CW Network.
