Struggling club FC Augsburg (6-11-9, 27 points) is set to take on top contenders Borussia Dortmund (19-3-4, 61 points) at the SGL Arena on March 20th, Sunday as the 2015-2016 Bundesliga season is drawing near to a close.

Augsburg has won only once in their last six outings as the team is currently settled at the 13th spot of the league table, to precariously sit only three points above the bottom-three relegation zone.

The team badly needs to win this one against powerhouse team Dortmund if they want to stay safe from being demoted to 2. Bundesliga with only a few games left in the current season.

Fuggerstädter is coming off a 2-2 draw with newly-promoted squad SV Darmstadt 98 on the road at the Merck-Stadion am Bollenfalltor last Saturday, as per SkySports.

Die Lilien scored the first two goals of the match at the 12th and 40th minutes, courtesy of midfielder Mario Vrancic and forward Sandro Wagner, to set the hosts up 2-0 at the halftime break.

However, head coach Markus Weinzierl's boys fought back in the second to equalize the match with a right-footed shot from outside the box from winger Markus Feulner and a penalty kick by Icelandic striker Alfred Finnbogason right at the stroke of full time, salvaging the draw and a share of the point in the overall standings.

Meanwhile, Die Borussen is still their dominating self, blanking FSV Mainz 05, 2-0, at their home field of Signal Iduna Park last Sunday, as reported by Goal.

Borussia sharpshooters Marco Reus and Shinji Kagawa provided the goals for Thomas Tuchel's side at the 30th and 73rd minutes to turn back the challenge of Die Nullfünfer.

With the win Dortmund was able to stay five points behind league leaders and defending champions Bayern Munich in the overall standings. With eight games left in the current season, they still have a shot to capture the league title if the Bavarians face some problems down the stretch.

The predicted result is a 3-0 romp for Borussia Dortmund.
